The Astonishing Revelations of Wayne Madsen on the Mystery Explosions in China and Japan.

Wayne Madsen, a highly credible source has provided a coherent and plausible account of the series of mysterious explosions that have struck both China and Japan in recent months along with others others that I was unaware of, such as the explosion in recent months in Los Angeles on August 21st..

Much of Wayne Madsen’s work is posted beyond the paywall at Wayne Madsen Report at places such as Intrepid Report, but the pieces on the recent events in China and Japan appear not to have made it and as a result did not have the impact they deserved.

This is simply a retelling of what Madsen has written in a series of articles on this subject.

August 21-23, 2015 — Tianjin explosion appears to be state-sponsored industrial sabotage – Wayne Madsen Report

August 25-26, 2015 — Chinese asymmetric warfare: sabotage operations at forefront of strategy – Wayne Madsen Report

September 8-10, 2015 — China: plant explosion number four – Wayne Madsen Report

October 1-2, 2015 — Explosions in China are no longer reported as “accidents” but as sabotage – Wayne Madsen Report.

It is not possible to confirm this account of events but I have checked Madsen’s narrative and it fits with the known facts.
With these type of stories the way I tend to regard it is This may not necessarily be entirely correct but it is an opinion held by well informed sources within intelligence agencies and represents at the very least a step towards understanding what is happening.

This is a quick summary of the conclusions Madsen makes.

The simplest and most easily supportable conclusions are:

  1. The Explosions that have taken place in China in recent months were due to sabotage.
  2. The Tianjin blast was caused by a Nuclear device.

These can be regarded as confirmed.

Beyond that Madsen informs us that there is a secret war going on between China and Japan. Japanese angst caused by China’s island building “facts on the reef” campaign in the South China Sea, where China has been building islands from submerged reefs as part of their campaign to impose their desired maritime boundaries in the region has provoked the Tianjin attack and those that followed, Madsen writes:

August 21-23, 2015 — Tianjin explosion appears to be state-sponsored industrial sabotage – Wayne Madsen Report

““There is speculation in China that resurgent Japanese militarists loyal to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and with the support of the U.S. Pacific Command in Hawaii carried out the bombing as a message to China over Beijing’s military moves in the South China and East China Seas. “

Aum Shinrikyo.

Because the Japanese military have been forbidden from building offensive capabilities by the Japanese constitution imposed after World War 2, nationalist Japanese politicians such as Shinzo Abe used cut-outs to conduct offensive operations and build offensive capabilities.

One of the cut outs they used were the Aum Shinrikyo cult notorious for the Tokyo subway Sarin gas attack of 1995.

August 25-26, 2015 — Chinese asymmetric warfare: sabotage operations at forefront of strategy – Wayne Madsen Report

“Abe, according to WMR’s sources in Japan, has old links to the fascist terrorist group Aum Shinrikyo, which attacked the Tokyo subway system with deadly Sarin gas in 1995. In 2000, Aum Shinrikyo changed its name to Aleph and, although it has been accused of being anti-Semitic, oddly chose the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet as its new name. Aleph and its cult members, many of whom are Gladio-like operatives for the Japanese intelligence agency Naicho, is believed to ultimately answer to Abe. Though branded a terrorist group, Aleph is in a unique position to commit acts of sabotage in China without exposing the fingerprints of Abe or the Japanese government.”

in the early 1990s the Aum Shinrikyo cult purchased a large remote property in Western Australia the Banjawarn Station, on May 28th, 1993 it appears the group detonated a nuclear weapon on the half a million acre property, whether the detonation was the result of a test or an accident is unclear.

September 8-10, 2015 — China: plant explosion number four – Wayne Madsen Report

In 1994, Australian police discovered that Aum had been conducting experiments on nuclear weapons at a remote sheep station in Banjawarn in Western Australia. Police discovered in an abandoned farm house rudimentary equipment that could be used to produce a nuclear weapon: computers, tubing, a rock-crushing machine, and generators. There were known uranium deposits in the area of the Banjawarn station. Moreover, Aum recruited some nuclear engineers from the former Soviet Union to help them develop a nuclear weapon. A number of dead sheep were also discovered at the ranch station.“

“In 1993, seismic monitors picked up at Banjawarn an explosion greater in strength than the most powerful British atomic bomb test carried out at the Woomera Test Range in South Australia in the 1950s and early 60s. Australian truckers reported seeking a huge fireball in the direction of Banjawarn and hearing a loud sound.”

All of the details of this incredible sounding tale stand up to scrutiny, to the point where the matter was reported upon in the New York Times and discussed in the Western Australian Parliament.

The Aum Shinrikyo were an international group, their leadership was in Japan but the largest membership was based in Russia. It is claimed that the Aum Shinrikyo sought information about nuclear weapons from Russian members with connections to the Russian nuclear weapons industry.
In the years after the Tokyo Sarin attack, the Aum Shinrikyo came under intense pressure.

In the year 2000 the Aum Shinrikyo group split between a group who morphed into a Scientology type non- violent cult whilst the remaining doomsday adherents formed a group called Aleph. Aleph is also the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

I have searched for information on this group but very little detail is available beyond confirmation of the basic fact that they exist, they have sued for libel successfully and little more.

North Korea and the Chinese snub.
One very interesting thing that Madsen noticed that everyone else seems to have missed is that North Korea was severely snubbed in the Chinese celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
Whilst the distant leader Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe was welcomed, the Chinese only invited the Foreign Minister of North Korea Kim Jong un the “Supreme Leader” and third generation of the Kim dynasty was not invited.

One of the really interesting things about Kim Jong un is that his Godfather is an extremely notorious Chinese Secret Police Chiefn named Zhou Yongkang who is part of the faction that is currently being purged by the Xi faction.
So an extremely complex picture seems to emerge of a multi-layered factional war inside China, Japan and the US with elements in Japan China and North Korea in a dark and covert alliance against the current ruling faction in China who appear themselves to be capable of high deception and ruthless violence.

According to Wayne Madsen all of the explosions at the Chinese industrial sites were acts of espionage that he alleges are connected to the Aleph group or similar rogue Japanese elements  who function he claims as an arm of the Japanese deep state similar to the Gladio groups in Europe in the distant and recent past.

Madsen claims that the Tianjin blast was caused by a nuclear weapon in a shipping container and that the Lijin blast, both the blasts in Shandong, in August and the explosion in Dongying in September were all caused by acts of sabotage and that the Chinese are completely aware they are under attack.

In addition to those astonishing claims Madsen claims that it appears two at least two incidents were part of a Chinese response to the acts of sabotage against them.

The Los Angeles Explosion of August 21st, 2015.

On August 21st, a generator exploded in Los Angeles causing power outages in an area choked with key US data infrastructure. Four people were injured in the little reported incident.

UPDATE: Explosion in Downtown Los Angeles Disrupts Data Center Operations | Data Center Knowledge

“At least one data center has experienced disruptions following an explosion in a basement of a high-rise in downtown Los Angeles Thursday evening.
While the cause of the explosion is still being investigated, the Los Angeles Fire Department suspects it had something to do with a generator in the basement. The blast at 811 West Wilshire Blvd. took out an on-site power station, leaving 12 buildings in the area without electricity, according to the local utility.
The explosion interrupted connectivity on network infrastructure operated by Level 3 Communications, which serves a lot of data center users in the area, Craig VerColen, a spokesman for LogMeIn, a company whose data center went dark as a result of the incident, said via email. Level 3 issued a statement saying its technicians were working to restore services.

The US Military Depot Explosion in Japan.

Unexplained Explosion at US Military Base in Japan

Madsen also tentatively attributes the explosion at the US Military depot in Japan to Chinese elements who apparently blame elements of both the US and Japan for the incidents of sabotage and suggests that the explosion at the Japanese aluminium factory may also have been the result of the same type of action.

The Spate of Liucheng Explosions.

China Hit by Wave of Mystery Blasts.
Madsen attributes the dozens of explosions in Liuecheng Southern China to a different but related source.
Madsen claims that US intelligence agencies have co-opted Chinese Muslim Uigars and are inserting them into southern China in order to conduct acts of sabotage and the spate of explosions last week are attributed to these proxy militants.

October 1-2, 2015 — Explosions in China are no longer reported as “accidents” but as sabotage – Wayne Madsen Report.

“There are reports that some of the 3500 Chinese Uighurs now fighting in Syria under the umbrella of the Turkestan Islamic Party and claiming Idlib as their home base under Turkish protection are returning to China via the porous southern borders of Guangxi and Yunnan to carry out sabotage against Chinese targets. “

It cannot be stated with confidence that the narrative presented by Wayne Madsen is completely correct but it appears to be a coherent narrative. It makes sense and fits with the known facts and at the very least is worth bearing in mind the next time news breaks of the inevitable next unexplained explosion in North Asia.

August 15th, 2015.

The Tianjin Blasts.

On August 12th the Port area of the Chinese city of Tianjin was struck by two massive explosions. At least 85 people are known to have died in the explosions.

The cause of the blasts is unknown but the Chinese Government claim that the disaster was as the result of an industrial accident related to the storage of volatile chemicals.

The sheer size and scale of the second blast has led to much speculation about the blast being the result of some type of attack, especially involving a Nuclear weapon. The second blast was estimated to be the equivalent of 21 tonnes of TNT.

Having watched as much footage of the incident as I could find there is no doubt that the blast seems to resemble a Nuclear explosion but until the contents of the storage area are known and the cause of the explosion is provided this will remain simply an hypothesis in search of evidence.

It is being claimed that the site has been attacked by a US B2 aircraft firing a missile. The available evidence does not appear to support an hypothesis that involves an external attack and there is nothing about the area of the blast that would make it a likely target of sabotage or attack as far as is currently known.

Sabotage is entirely possible, but there does not appear to be any basis for the claim that the site was struck by a missile.

The presence of fireman at the time of the blast (it is being reported that 21 died)  tends to support the idea that the explosion was due to a pre-existing fire, as CBC report:

“The toll included at least 21 firefighters among the more than 1,000 sent to the disaster. Firefighters initially responded to a fire at the warehouse and many of them apparently were killed by a series of explosions triggered 40 minutes after the fire was reported.”

There are no witness reports that mention aircraft, missiles or anything that would support the notion of an aerial attack.

Tianjin Dongjiang Port Rui Hai International Logistics Co. Ltd

This is the best description I could find of the company running the business where the incident took place.

Backgrounder: The company with explosive warehouses in Tianjin – Xinhua |

“According to the company’s official website, Tianjin Dongjiang Port Rui Hai International Logistics Co. Ltd. was founded in 2011 and is a storage and distribution center of containers of dangerous goods at the Tianjin Port.”

“The company’s business includes the storage, transfer, distribution and customs declaration of dangerous chemicals. Freight volume through the company stands at one million tonnes each year, with annual revenues exceeding 30 million yuan.”

“The center includes two warehouses for dangerous goods. One is located next to an office building.”

700 Tonnes of Sodium Cyanide.

One controversial aspect of the incident that the Chinese Government appear to be trying to suppress is that according to al Jazeera  “at least 700 tonnes of sodium cyanide were at the site, along with other substances, and the poisonous chemical had been detected in sewage samples in the area.”

The al Jazeera report is derived from the Beijing News, who according to al Jazeera pulled the story.

“The report was no longer available on the (Beijing News) newspaper’s website on Friday.”

Sodium cyanide is apparently not a volatile substance, it was not what caused the explosion but it is extremely hazardous when dispersed in the air as an explosion would presumably do.

Nuclear and Chemical Experts.

On the other hand it is a fact that according to multiple media reports, the Chinese government are sending military experts in chemical and nuclear matters to investigate the incident. Al Jazeera report that:

“China has sent chemical experts into Tianjin to test for toxic gases after a series of deadly explosions.

“The team of nuclear and chemical experts is on the ground on Friday in the northern port city of Tianjin.”

It is highly likely that chemical experts would be asked to assess the situation regardless of the cause but the presence of the nuclear experts is harder to explain and indicates that perhaps the Chinese Government are suspicious that there may be a nuclear element to this event.

Either way, both sabotage and a nuclear accident are likely possible causes of this inferno. Although little about this incident can be stated with confidence at this stage the truth has a funny way of emerging over time.
