Syria: False Flag Triggers International Crisis.

The Mail Online headline is simply a lumpen version of the standard propaganda line being transmitted by the everlasting hell-bound liars of the Western controlled media. Seasoned war criminals whose bloodthirst is unquenchable. The death toll they are quoting is 25% in excess of what the Strian Observatory of Human Rights are quoting more than 24 hours later.(Source)
Other than the fact that the photo was not taken in Idlib, nor in Syria and the fact that the child is perfectly healthy, rather than suffering from a chemical attack the Mail caption is right on the money.
This image is of a UN subsidiary UNFPA *the United Nations Population Fund) conducting routine health checks on infants (source) presumably in the Philippines following Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. Either way, the photo is not taken in Syria and the child is perfectly healthy. The ever imaginative and creative Mail Online somehow transformed this scene of a healthy South East Asian child being examined by a South East Asian health worker in a room full of South East Asian women none of whom dress in manner remotely resembling the women of Idlib into the aftermath of the Idlib chemical attack. In the minds of the trash who compile the Mail, the fact that there are no Arabs in a photo of ” Syria” does not register. The fact there are no Hijabs or Chadors in al Qaeda ruled Syria does not register. All they know is that they are supposed to lie.
The Mail improves and manages to post a photograph that was actually taken in Syria.. Hurrah! While they did remove the Philippine photograph this one leads the story to this day. This is a photograph of a completely healthy child in a hospital pretending to cry and doing a rather poor job of it.  The  tousled hair is a trademark the pitiful propagandist believe mimics the after effects of an air strike. Check the child for yourself, legs, untouched, arms untouched, there is no injury nor any grief. Almost certainly a retread from the earlier Aleppo propaganda campaign of 2016.(Source)

Syria: Idlib False Flag Triggers International Crisis.

Trump De-Cloaks as Puppet of Evil.

April 7th, 2017.

The Khan Shayhkun Massacre.

On April 4th several Su22 jets belonging to the Syria Air Force attacked a town named Khan Shaykhun (population approx 50,000) in Syria’s northwestern Idlib province.

According to the Syrian and Russian military, the warplanes targeted militant warehouses, arms depots and production facilities on the outskirts of the town.

Following the attacks a number of people in the area it is claimed, began to suffer symptoms consistent with exposure to toxic chemicals. The division between the people who died as a result of high explosives versus chemical exposure has not been made clear, however it is claimed that more than 80 people died following the attack of the warplanes and the subsequent toxic exposure.

There is no clear indication what chemicals the people were exposed to nor the source of the exposure.

Russia and Syria claim that the Syrian Air Force unwittingly bombed an insurgent chemical production facility, inadvertently causing the exposure of civilians to toxic chemicals the insurgents were using to produce weapons.

According to Philip Giraldi, former CIA officer the US government intelligence indicates that it was not an attack by the Syrian Government using chemicals.

“The intelligence confirms pretty much the account that the Russians have been giving … which is that they hit a warehouse where the rebels – now these are rebels that are, of course, connected with Al Qaeda – where the rebels were storing chemicals of their own and it basically caused an explosion that resulted in the casualties. Apparently the intelligence on this is very clear.”

2017 Khan Shaykhun chemical attack – Wikipedia

The entire Western media and the anti-Syrian government activists supported by the West and their allies claim that the warplanes launched the chemicals themselves and tellingly the Israeli government fresh from air strikes in direct support of the Islamic State near Palmyra, chipped in within hours of the incident:

Israel says Idlib chemical attack approved by highest level of Syrian government

Beyond what is implied by commonsense and logic there is almost zero evidence to support either hypothesis. According to the Western media we already know that the Syrian Government were responsible because we all “know” having dutifully digested more than six years of propaganda on the subject that Bashar al Assad is a “really, really horrible person” and that is the end of the matter.

The argument is completely circular, utterly vapid and echoes the script from numerous previous seasons of regime change propaganda directed against Syria and many other targets.

Assad chemical attack in Syria’s Idlib kills at least 100 | Daily Mail Online

The Motive,Timing and Possible Beneficiaries of this event.

Only days earlier, on March 3oth, US Secretary of State Tillerson made what seemed at a time a mundane statement to the effect that the US had accepted that the regime change operation in Syria had failed and would henceforth focus on battling the jihadists of ISIS and al Nusra.

US Didn’t “Change Priorities” in Syria, It Lost | New Eastern Outlook

This is how CNN reported on the comments.

US signals openness to Assad staying put – CNNPolitics.com

The Trump administration doubled down Thursday on prioritizing the fight against ISIS over ending the Syrian civil war and getting rid of its main protagonist, President Bashar al-Assad — a suggestion that was swiftly criticized by hawks on the Hill.”

“Indicating a possible shift in US policy on the war in Syria from the days of the Obama administration, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said on a trip to Turkey that the “longer-term status of President Assad will be decided by the Syrian people.”

CNN further reported that the comments had been echoed by the US envoy to the United Nations, Nikki Haley.

“US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley was even stronger about the Trump administration’s decision not to push for Assad’s departure. “Our priority is no longer to sit and focus on getting Assad out,” Haley told wire reporters Thursday.”

The Independent delivered a longer quote from the same briefing.”You pick and choose your battles and when we’re looking at this, it’s about changing up priorities and our priority is no longer to sit there and focus on getting Assad out,” US Ambassador Nikki Haley told a small group of reporters on Thursday. (Source)

These statements at the time seemed little more than a bland acceptance of the blindingly obvious fact that unless the US was willing to wage a war against Russia, it was not going to get its way in Syria.

The War Party predictably reacted with fury to this development and the seasoned warmongers Senators McCain and Graham were equally predictably at the forefront, as CNN further reported:

“The comments drew heavy criticism from Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham, Republicans who have long advocated for an increased US military presence in Syria against Assad and his Russian allies.”

“This overlooks the tragic reality that the Syrian people cannot decide the fate of Assad or the future of their country when they are being slaughtered by Assad’s barrel bombs,”McCain said in a statement.

The motive to change this situation is so obvious and powerful that it scarcely bears stating.

The Results.

Less than a week after this setback, the War Party have the situation back in hand. The President has more than blinked he has bent and broken, revealing the mendacious and cowardly individual behind the brash front.

At this early stage only two days after the event, Khan Shaykhun is emerging as a triumph, exactly the tonic required to get the West back on track towards the complete destruction of Syria with the war party returned to their rightful place at the helm using the US military and taxpayer to destroy the Middle East as per Israel/Big Oil and the munitions industry demands and needs on the back of whatever lie is required.

This is the way things are supposed to be, this is a restoration and now that Trump has broken they can call of the dogs and cease all the Russia-gate nonsense and return to the mundane but immensely profitable business of endless war and world domination whilst putting the finishing touches on the police state.

Layers of Lies.

It is worth noting that in the fact based world there was never any actual evidence that the Syrian Government forces had ever used chemical weapons, anywhere, however UN investigations of a series of attacks in a village named Khan al Assal in early 2013 concluded that Syrian insurgents had used Sarin gas in a series of attacks leading to the deaths of government soldiers and civilians who supported the government.

Ex-UN envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi: Khan al-Assal CW attacks likely carried out by opposition. | Interventions Watch

UN’s Carla Del Ponte Stupefied By Syrian Opposition Sarin Use

These reports were simply ignored by the entire Western media and hidden behind the massive false flag chemical weapon attack several months later in 2013, in outer Damascus. That was the attack that took place two days after a UN Investigative team arrived in Damascus to investigate the Khan al Assal attacks.

How helpful and considerate it was of the Syrian leader Bashar al Assad to conduct a massive atrocity within driving distance of the UN investigators Damascus hotel. How beneficent of Assad to provide the then US puppet Obama with the cassus belli Obama had written into the script almost precisely one year earlier!

Possible Implications of Faulty US Intelligence in the al Ghouta Nerve Agent Attack of August 21st, 2013.

EXCLUSIVE: Syrians In Ghouta Claim Saudi-Supplied Rebels Behind Chemical Attack

Seymour M. Hersh · The Red Line and the Rat Line: Erdoğan and the Syrian rebels · LRB 17 April 2014

Seymour M. Hersh · Whose sarin? · LRB 19 December 2013

In the world of reason and logic, it was obvious on day one that the narrative Westerners were being force-fed about the al Ghouta attack was  puerile nonsense, for them to think they can repeat that nonsense four years later when the narrative is beyond ludicrous is proof of the unshakeable fanaticism of the war party, but also of their total creative and intellectual poverty.

The Situation in Idlib.

In Idlib governate, the last remaining Syrian Army positions of substance fell to the combined insurgent forces led by al Qaeda, in March 2015. Back then the jihadist coalition was going by the Army of Conquest title, these days they are Hayat Tahrir al Sham.

Despite the Russian support over more than eighteen months the Syrian Army and their allies have made zero progress in Idlib since 2015, recently agreeing to evacuate the only towns in Idlib that remained under Government control, making a deal to evacuate the government held Shia majority villages of al Fuah and Kafiryah in exchange for letting the insurgents evacuate two long besieged villages in the Damascus countryside Madaya and Zabadani.

Syria conflict: ‘Deal reached’ for four besieged towns

The deal essentially ended the tiny remaining ground war in Idlib province, ended all urgency of the Syrians and their allies doing anything in Idlib at all. Idlib is now simply a rear area, the only battles on the ground in Idlib are the intra-jihadist civil wars that break out intermittently.

So whereas it could be posited that the Syrian military have the motive to conduct a chemical weapons attack in a place like Der ez Zour, where a large Syrian force is entirely surrounded by ISIS and under constant ground attack and a similar argument could be made regarding other areas where the Syrian army are engaged in large-scale ground warfare, such as against ISIS in eastern Homs or against Tahrir al Sham in northern Hama. The simple fact is that the Syrian Army have not engaged in large-scale battles in Idlib since 2015, the Syrian Army has little or no presence in Idlib and therefore no realistic motive to resort to the desperate measure of the chemical attack.

There was nothing the Syrians and Russians could achieve in Idlib that would be helped by the use of chemicals, quite the opposite.

The insurgents on the other hand, are losing the war, slowly and painfully, only days earlier the US government has basically admitted the cause is lost. Their situation is desperate, they have obvious and powerful motives to either capitalise on the accidental dispersion caused by an attack on their weapons depot or even to propagate the whole thing. They are the ones who need the situation to change, they are the ones who need some event to cause the President to pivot 180 degrees in the space of a day as he just did.

They have everything to gain and nothing to lose, a history of chemical weapons false flag attacks. The scales of probability are entirely lopsided in every matter pertaining to motive.

At the point when the image of the Syrian state is being rehabilitated, at the point they are receiving massive assistance of all kinds from the Russian government, the Syrian government we are expected to believe just decided to flush the whole thing down the back for no discernible military purpose.

Trump Goes Full Retard (and the critics are gasping with joy)

Overnight President Trump has apparently been lobotomised and today we have seen the President completely break and capitulate to the war party in order to save himself.

The cad, coward and weak-minded fool that he is can no longer be hidden or denied.

As luck would have it, the King of Jordan was visiting DC and the US President took the opportunity at the joint press conference to address the Khan Shayhkun incident.

There are some real gems of black comedy here, President Trump not only knows that the Syrian Government are the culprit “These heinous actions by the Assad regime cannot be tolerated.” (Source)

He also magically knows the details of the chemical that was used just a day after it happened:

“a chemical gas that is so lethal — people were shocked to hear what gas it was — that crosses many, many lines, beyond a red line. Many, many lines.”(Source)

Although characteristically the President did not provide any specific details or evidence supporting these claims.

So did the US send technicians into al Qaeda held Idlib, which the US has itself been bombing regularly in recent months, grab some samples, take them to a lab to have them analysed and then transmit the results to the awaiting President and all his new-found War Party cohorts all in the space of 24 hours?

Clearly the President is simply talking crap based on nothing, using the same low tactics he has been targeted with on the Russia issue. The same low tactics they used against Saddam and Gaddafi and every other manufactured bogy.

Even in the world of lies the people who conjure these narratives are cheap imposters. It is simultaneously pathetic and despicable and if they get their way, no matter what happens it is a rock solid guarantee that whatever steps the US takes to destroy the Syrian state the world will feel the negative repercussions in terms of regional instability for decades.

The Nightmare Renewed.

There will be no happy ending, we know it, we have been on this ride several times before and we know how it ends, even better we know that it never ends, as the US mission in Afghanistan enters its sixteenth year with no end in sight and after ISIS the violence in Iraq will not end. The same US military that beseeched Obama for tens of thousands of extra troops in 2009 are now performing the exact same maneuver with the Chaos Clown who had already gone a long way towards proving his fealty with a $54 billion request to increase the budget of themost bloated and unnecessary department of any government anywhere, ever.

Obama was the first US President who did not preside over a single day of peace and Trump is already all but guaranteed to be the second.

Any military operations, covert or otherwise the US government undertakes against the Syrian government will threaten regional or global war, will accelerate the destruction of the Syrian state, will be contrary to international law and thus subject to sanction as aggression and beyond all that, anyone with a lick of sense knows that there is one very simple rule in the Middle East, the more the US military does, the worse things get.

The President knows this perfectly well, he stated repeatedly throughout the campaign that over the past fifteen years the US has expended trillions of dollars in wars that never end and achieved nothing.

Once Rexxon started threatening North Korea with war it was pretty clear that Trump is not really the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump is better described as the tenth President of the post- executive Presidency, he is puppet number ten to have played the role since the rulers made clear their active displeasure with the last man to defy them by having him shot to death in the full light of day and the full complicity of the security detail. When the brother didn’t get the message the same group underlined it by rubbing him out too when he had the temerity to run for office.

Number 10.

Trump is not going to be judged against George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln or even Kennedy, Trump will be judged alongside the rest of the puppets, quality individuals such as Bill Clinton, Lyndon Johnson, George H.W Bush, George.W Bush, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon and Barack Obama.

The pattern is established and the reasons for the repetition of cataclysmic errors go far beyond the shortcomings of whatever puppet is currently playing the President or which Generals command the campaign.

It has taken only 75 days of intense undermining to cause a complete rethink, a complete repudiation of not only the campaign rhetoric but the excellent words of the inaugural speech also and this comic gem stands out as the precise moment that President Trump announced himself openly as a fraudster and a sellout, just like Obama and the rest of them.

“I like to think of myself as a very flexible person.  I don’t have to have one specific way, and if the world changes, I go the same way, I don’t change.  Well, I do change and I am flexible, and I’m proud of that flexibility.  And I will tell you, that attack on children yesterday had a big impact on me — big impact.  That was a horrible, horrible thing.  And I’ve been watching it and seeing it, and it doesn’t get any worse than that.” (Source)

Unless, you were to consider for a moment, the far more deadly US air attack in Mosul that slaughtered many more of the exact same people as we are told died in Idlib but this event, one for which he bore direct command responsibility, did not elicit any public comment whatsoever from the President, who prefers to tweet on topics such as the ratings of the Arnold Schwarzenegger version of the Apprentice, the size of the crowd at the inauguration and other similarly weighty topics. Especially those that have a feel-good quality.

200+ people, mostly civilians, killed in US-led airstrikes in Mosul

Trump continued: “And I have that flexibility, and it’s very, very possible — and I will tell you, it’s already happened that my attitude toward Syria and Assad has changed very much.  And if you look back over the last few weeks, there were other attacks using gas.  You’re now talking about a whole different level.” (Source)

Now that Trump has proven his cowardice and loyalty to the empire of lies, presumably all the “establishment issues” will miraculously disappear. After all they will tell each other “we can’t be infighting when there are wars to be fought.”

In one of the most stunning developments in the grinding five year war, 40% of the insurgent pocket has been lost in the space of 48 hours. Following the Syrian army capture of the Hanano district the entire northern sector of the insurgent pocket collapsed, thousands of civilians have fled into the Government sector and the twin myths of the popular support for the insurgents and the malevolence of the government towards the people have been instantly extinguished.

Syrian Battlefield Journalists Explain the Situation to the Jihadists….

In Syria there are two journalists named Rabea Kalawandy and Sohayb Masri who travel around to the recently liberated areas and celebrate Syrian victories whilst taunting the jihadist insurgents. Rabea is the bald guy at the far left and Sohayb is the fellow to the right of screen with the white keffiyeh around his neck, Rabea is the hard man whilst Sohayb is the one with the wisecracks. The videos are posted at Rabea’s twitter account, but only in Arabic.

The collapse of the jihadists in the northern sector of eastern Aleppo gave them an opportunity for an epic and classic video taunting the insurgents who have done so much damage to their nation. The complete video is embedded below.

When the fighting in Aleppo ends, as it will do within the coming weeks at the latest. The war will be over for control of Syria’s major cities, the war will continue in Latakia/Idlib and the Aleppo countryside to the west as well as Hama, Homs and Deir ez Zour to the east and a much smaller war in the south of the country but within months Syria may be able to begin rebuilding the core state. The insurgent defeat in Aleppo is going to mean the end for the insurgency in the major Syrian cities, the insurgency will become more of a nuisance at the edge rather than a threat to the existence of the state.

The end is now in sight, Syria has survived the worst that NATO and the Gulf States could throw at them short of open war- including dozens of airstrikes from Israeli and US coalition aircraft, and they have survived.

Syria, the army and the people deserve the credit but it is telling that whereas Saddam’s Iraq and Qaddafi’s Libya had no real allies willing to lift a finger in their defense, both Iran and Russia have made massive sacrifices in support of Syria and that has made it completely impossible for the plot against Syria to succeed as the previous regime change/state destruction operations had done.

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey, President Obama and even the British Labor party and Parliament deserve a modicum of credit also for resisting another demolition job in September 2013 after the massive chemical weapons false flag was supposed to close the deal.

Without the US air force the insurgents were never going to win, but the billions of dollars of military aid from a host of nations and steady influx of duped foreign fighters via the Turkish border made it impossible for the Syrian Army to prevail prior to the increased Russian and Iranian assistance of late 2015.

 Aleppo Encirclement Restored.

After a month of fierce resistance the insurgent defensive positions at the Aleppo military colleges collapsed on September the 4th following a day of dozens of Russian airstrikes and a two-pronged ground assault on their positions conducted by the Palestinian/Syrian loyalist militia Liwa al Quds and the Tiger Forces of the Syrian Army.

Such was the intensity of the fighting that it is as though winter has come early in the area of the military academies as the battles have blown all the foliage from the branches of the trees.

If nothing else the insurgents deserve respect for forcing the Syrians to destroy the colleges and surrounding buildings in order to displace them.  and while loyalists crowed that the insurgents had “Lost 1000 fighters in order to deliver three watermelon trucks!”both sides took heavy casualties in a month of some of the most intense and violent urban combat of the entire war.

The restoration of the encirclement of the insurgent pocket in east Aleppo and has triggered a predictable and laughable barrage of propaganda from the pro-insurgent media in their desperation to save the doomed jihadists in Aleppo city..

There is something indescribably sad about this bullet scarred mural at one of the Aleppo Military Colleges. It is almost a metaphor for all that Syria has lost over the past five years and provides a glimpse into a shattered past.

East Aleppo Under Siege.

The supply line through Ramouseh was never truly reopened, due to the intense fighting taking place and at this point it can be stated definitively that the Ibrahim al Youssef offensive failed in its objectives, and the insurgent claim that they were going to seize all of Aleppo city has now been rendered absurd, and while the carve up of northern Syria is now underway, the core Syrian state will survive and Aleppo city will be included.

They hold only one minor regional capital, Idlib and any realistic view of the regime change effort would accept the fact that this effort has failed and has been the major cause of the immense and continuing suffering of the blameless Syrian people.

The insurgents are going to lose in Aleppo, just as they were defeated in Homs, Darayya and many other former strongholds and with the loss of Aleppo all pretensions towards the insurgents playing a major role in the future of Syria, much less of achieving victory. will be gone.

Once Russia became heavily involved in the conflict, the regime change project faced a choice between defeat and war with Russia, and so desperate were the empire’s minions to maintain their supremacy many favor the military option, war with Russia on behalf of Al Qaeda, it makes perfect sense!

Chlorine.

The groups fighting the US military in Iraq began using chlorine gas bombs in 2004. these groups conducted dozens of attacks using the gas, but abandoned the tactic because of its ineffectiveness. Chlorine gas is very rarely deadly,”or as Wikipedia describes it “have proven not to be a viable means of inflicting massive loss of life. ”

Chlorine bombings in Iraq – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Syrian Armed forces have access to a virtually inexhaustible supply of high explosives and the systems to deliver them onto a target. Sometimes they use napalm, sometimes the Russian Air Force uses phosphorous and other incendiaries. These weapons are both far more terrifying and effective than any chlorine device that has ever been constructed. The idea that anyone with access to these ferocious munitions would resort to the use of the nuisance value chlorine is a joke.

Incendiary munitions airstrikes on targets in rebel held parts of Aleppo

Anyone who is capable of rational thought will see that the only party with any motive for launching chlorine gas attacks are the insurgents.

After Syria gave up its chemical weapons stockpile in the wake of the East Ghouta false flag attack of August 2013, it was no longer possible for the insurgents to commit mass murder with Sarin and blame it on the government in the hope of causing the US to enter the war and bomb them to victory.

But the insurgents still needed to find a lever to provoke the US to act as their air force so in their desperate position they have resorted to conducting small-scale attacks with Chlorine gas and blaming them on the Government.

These claims are not worthy even of contempt but the Western media embrace them without question, still seeking to fulfill their master’s goal of regime change in Syria and willing to tell any lie, support any evil to make it happen.

The Death of the UN.

Recently the UN even chipped in with a report blaming the government for these attacks, on the basis of eyewitnesses who claimed the chlorine was dropped from helicopters.

Despite the fact that pretty much every airstrike that takes place near a populated area in Syria is filmed, no-one has ever filmed any of the helicopters supposedly responsible for the dozens of such alleged attacks.

This Robert Parryarticle provides an excellent analysis of this issue:

UN Team Heard Claims of ‘Staged’ Chemical Attacks

The fact that the UN released a report supporting this brazen, low and despicable narrative merely indicates that the UN itself is an entirely bankrupt and worthless organisation, something that has been obvious for many years.

U.N. Admits Role In Haiti Cholera Outbreak That Has Killed Thousands : The Two-Way : NPR

“The ongoing Haiti cholera outbreak is the worst epidemic of cholera in recent history, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.[5] After the 2010 earthquake, in little over two years, as of April 2013, it has affected has killed at least 7,000 Haitians and sickened a few hundred thousand more while spreading to neighboring countries including the Dominican Republic and Cuba.[6] Since the outbreak began in October 2010, more than 6% of Haitians have had the disease.[7]” (Source)

It goes without saying that no-one within the sick parody that is the modern-day UN was held responsible for this act of momentous incompetence that has led tot the deaths of thousands of Haitian civilians.

If the professional liars responsible for that nonsense think they are fooling anyone with an IQ above room temperature they are in for a rude awakening.

The Syrian Army and their allies have played their part, they have done their job, now it is incumbent on those outside Syria to destroy the reprehensible propaganda edifice that will seek to prevent their victory in Aleppo.

The Liberation of Palmyra.

Civilisation triumphs over the forces of nihilism, chaos and destruction.

The US Air force stood, watched and did nothing in May 2015 as the city of Palmyra fell to  ISIS.

Ten months later and Russia has emerged as the defender of civilisation in Syria and nothing makes this clearer than the liberation of Palmyra.

While the US was perfectly happy to stand back and watch Syria being looted and pillaged by the forces of chaos and mayhem, Russia sent her soldiers  to fight and die in the fight against them and they have succeeded.

It was an extremely difficult and costly operation and only a week ago ISIS appeared to have the upper hand in the fighting around Palmyra the short video below shows a Russian journalist embedded with the Syrian Army under a hail of fire, pinned down and trapped as ISIS fighters rain accurate fire down on the Syrians from an elevated position. The trapped soldiers had to wait for nightfall to be able to move.

While ISIS clearly made a tactical decision to withdraw from Palmyra and Tadmur this week, the group are still present in the area, still well armed and still capable of mounting successful small-scale attacks.

The Western “Response.”

Reporting on the liberation of Palmyra, the BBC World Service were reduced to offering the pitiful “many blame the Syrian Government for allowing the city to fall.”

It is worth remembering that fewer than two years ago the Western elite and their pet media were trying to present the Russian President, with a straight face, as the new Hitler.

This now laughable idea was actually a very popular meme throughout 2014 being voiced by Democrat front-runner Hillary Clinton, the British Prime Minister and the next in line to the British throne, among many others.

The hollow men and woman of the Western media supported these fallacious pronouncements as they do everything, with mindless enthusiasm and transparent sophistry.

The southern outpost of the Mighty Wurlitzer took to the task with shameless relish.

Hillary Clinton’s comparison of Vladimir Putin and Adolf Hitler checks out – Fact Check – ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

So these latest developments are another self-inflicted moment of acute humiliation for the self appointed masters of the universe.

In this light the muted, sulking and whining response to the Russian operation in Syria and the Palmyra triumph make perfect sense.

The past two years have been among other things one long festival of humiliation for the Neoconservative Western elite, much of it at the hands of the Russian President. This must be a difficult moment for them.

In the Daily Beast they were still droning and whining about moderate rebels, in an unintentionally comedic piece written in the parallel universe of the Western propagandist where al Qaeda are moderate democrats!

Putin and Assad Score a Major Victory Against ISIS, After Hitting Syrian Rebels for Months – The Daily Beast

To describe the al Nusra Front are a terror group is a simple statement of fact. This is their legal status as designated by the UN along with their parent organisation al Qaeda.

al Nusra front deserve the designation having conducted terror attacks that target civilians in both Syria and Lebanon where the “plucky moderates” sent a suicide bomber to commit murder in a Tripoli cafe in late 2014.

Nusra Front claims Lebanon suicide attack – Al Jazeera English

They have massacred numerous groups from whom they differ including Shia, Christian and Druze. They have desecrated Christian churches, they have conducted chemical weapons attacks against both military and civilian targets. The only meaningful ideological difference they have with ISIS is that they believe in building an Islamic State in Syria after the war ISIS have tried and failed to do so during the war.

Any “journalist” who attempts to portray the Syrian opposition other than ISIS as being moderate is either a brazen liar and fraudster or simply a tool who deserves to the same contempt they have for their audience.

Al Nusra are the pivot group of the entire Syrian insurgency, throughout the war they have been allied with militant factions across the board and were the core and spearhead of the Army of Conquest coalition that swept through north-western Syria in 2015 seizing the province of Idlib.  Jabhat al Nusra have maintained alliances with the supposed moderates of the Free Syrian Army throughout the entire war.

The Road Ahead.

The Syrian Army are in the process of de-mining Palmyra, removing the hundreds of bombs and booby traps placed by the guerrillas, other units have fanned out in several directions and although clashes continue in the Palmyra area it is expected that the Syrian Army and their allies will soon  begin to move further north-east as they follow the M7 highway towards Der ez Zour.

Der ez Zour is 200kms away through a desert of sparse villages. If ISIS choose to mount guerrilla raids on the advancing forces it may take them months to advance across the desert.

On the other hand if the group withdraw the Syrian Army could be fighting to break the siege of Der ez Zour within weeks. If recent history is any guide it will be many months.

Palmyra victory has Syrian Army set to break ISIS siege on Deir Ezzor

If the Syrian Army manage to cross the desert and link up with the forces besieged in Der ez Zour, the current episode of the Caliphate project will be over. The forces in Syria will be reduced to operating in small isolated pockets of territory.

Amidst the deafening silence, the obfuscation and barefaced lies, Robert Fisk of the Independent stood out as one Western journalist willing to state the truth about Palmyra and the West.

Why is David Cameron so silent on the recapture of Palmyra from the clutches of Isis?

“So in the end, it was the Syrian army and its Hezbollah chums from Lebanon and the Iranians and the Russians who drove the Isis murderers out of Palmyra, and who may – heavens preserve us from such a success – even storm the Isis Syrian ‘capital’ of Raqqa. I have written many times that the Syrian army will decide the future of Syria. If they grab back Raqqa – and Deir el-Zour, where the Nusrah front destroyed the church of the Armenian genocide and threw the bones of the long-dead 1915 Christian victims into the streets – I promise you we will be silent again.”

Loyalist Victories Prove Russian Presence Has Transformed the Syrian War.

Aleppo victories mean that Insurgents Northern supply line has been severed.

Aleppo City pocket almost encircled.

After four months of Russian Airstrikes the situation in Syria has been transformed and in the past several weeks the Loyalist forces have won important victories in the North and South of Syria with the capture of the key crossroads town Sheikh Miskeen in the South as well as the key towns Salma and Rabia in the northern Latakia province.

Those important victories have this week been eclipsed by the major achievements in Aleppo where the sieges of the towns Zahra and Nubil were lifted after forty months and the loyalist forces have now cut off the insurgents in Northern Aleppo from their supply lines via the Aleppo countryside and the Turkish border. Both sides are taking heavy casualties but the Syrian Army and allies are achieving their objectives, the insurgents are dying and at the same time losing territories they fought hard for years to capture and hold.

The Suffering is Immense.

There should be no mistake about the fact there is an immense amount of suffering currently being visited upon the beleaguered people of Syria, nor that the Russian/Syrian air campaign is playing a significant role in this suffering and death.

While many of the areas of fighting in Syria are devoid of civilians, having been emptied during previous battles, many people live in rebel held areas of Idlib, Aleppo and several other provinces and civilians in these areas have died in large numbers at the hands of Russian and Syrian airstrikes targeting militant positions.

The insurgent and Western media propaganda line that Russian Airstrikes are targeting civilians is not supported by facts or logic, but the idea that the Russian Air-force are launching thousands of airstrikes without killing civilians is equally ludicrous and the Russian media do themselves no credit the way they have completely ignored the civilian deaths the air campaign has caused.

Despite this the Syrian-Russian-Iranian operation is worthy of support because a victory for the insurgents in Syria would not see an end to the fighting but would lead to fracture and descent into chaos as competing insurgent warlords vied for power.

Previous victories in Afghanistan and more recently in Libya have seen this descent into chaos and failed statehood status. If the likes of Jaish al Islam, Ahrar al Sham, al Nusra and ISIL/Daesh were vying for power the results would be almost identical to the process that has seen the once thriving Libyan state become a failed and broken state and a base for the extremists who threaten to attack the West and bring instability to wherever they operate.

The only party with any chance of stabilising the situation is the Syrian state, deeply flawed as it is. All other paths lead to long term mayhem and broadening instability.

Turkish, Saudi Ground Operation in Syria Spells Major Trouble for NATO

Saudi Arabia and the mini me Gulf States the UAE and Qatar have responded to this situation by suggesting that they will send troops into Syria to “battle Daesh.”A pretext that should no longer fools anyone.

The Gulf coalition are clearly already suffering a severe shortage of quality ground forces, hence their need to deploy Blackwater/Academi/Xe mercenaries in large numbers on the ground in Yemen. Saudi Arabia is also suffering regular cross border raids from their Yemeni enemies.

As far as Turkey goes they are not going to be able to do anything significant in Syria without the assent of the US and there is little chance of that happening given that the key Turkish target in Syria is the key US ally, the YPG Kurds. It is a non-starter even by Erdogan’s loose standards.

Erdogan calls on US to choose between Turkey or Syrian Kurds | THE DAILY STAR

The US has no interest in choosing between Turkey and the Syrian Kurds, but a leadership change in Turkey may allow the US to solve the dilemma in another manner.

Turkey still supports the regime change operation in Syria but they are not about to attack the Syrian Army inside Syria and find themselves under bombardment from the Russian Air force.

One option they may seek to take would be to corral the tens of thousands of refugees fleeing the Aleppo fighting within Syria and send a “protection force” to institute the long mooted (and even announced in July 2015) safe zone in Northern Syria although whatever happens the presence in Syria of the Russian S400 anti aircraft and missile systems mean the proposed no fly zone is an impossibility short of open war with Russia and the highly factionalised US administration does not seem to support this project therefore it will not happen.

The US refused to support the safe zone prior to the Russian military involvement in Syria, back in July, when the risks and costs were far lower so it seems inconceivable that it would be supported at this time . At a moment of high desperation for the plotters the refugees will presumably be again used to try and rescue the situation.

Ending the Carnage.

Even if the Syrian Arab Army and their allies are able to win every battle and destroy the insurgent formations, a political solution will still be required and the insurgents will have to be given some type of autonomy and increased participation in Syrian politics otherwise the insurhency will continue indefinitely long after the war ends, as has happened in Iraq.

The initial round of Syria peace talks were an empty farce with the opposition making the ridiculous demand that the Syrian Government and their allies stop fighting prior to the dialogue. It can only be hoped that the reality of their situation dawns upon them soon and a more realistic and conciliatory outlook will replace the delusional grandstanding that still dominate the opposition public narrative.

The Life and Death of Zahran Alloush

Zahran Alloush addresses a Jaish al Islam military parade in the Damascus countryside in April 2015.

December 31st, 2015.

Who was Zahran Alloush?

Zahran Alloush was born in Syria in 1971, his father Abdullah is a respected Salafist religious figure based in Saudi Arabia.

Zahran Alloush studied at the University of Medina in Saudi Arabia, but unlike his father, Zahran returned to Syria after completing a Masters Degree in Islamic Studies.

In 2009 the Syrian Government arrested Alloush for unclear reasons (either weapon possession or miscellaneous plotting) and held him in prison until mid 2011 when he was released under a general amnesty designed to calm the forces of insurrection.

The decision to release Alloush turned out to be another spectacular miscalculation on the part of the Syrian Government and Alloush became the most high-profile militant leader operating in the greater Damascus area where he commanded a force of 10,000 fighters.

(Alloush stated that Jaish al Islam comprised 17,000 fighters, 10,000 in the Damascus area under his direct command and a further 7,000 in other parts of Syria, since his death the number has been inflated to 25,000)

Jaish al Islam is one of the big four insurgent outfits operating in Syria along with Ahrar ash Sham and the better known al Nusra front and ISIL/Daesh.

Ahrar al Sham is a Salafist conglomerate without a well-known leader, the al Nusra leader is a designated terrorist who hides his face and the leader of ISIL/Daesh is in the same category so Zahran Alloush was  presented as the “respectable” face of the Salafi jihadist factions that comprise at least 90% of the Syrian insurgency.

Zahran Alloush even put on a shirt and jacket and was interviewed by mainstream US journal McClutchy, where he tried to present himself as a moderate and reasonable man.

Islamist rebel leader walks back rhetoric in first interview with U.S. media | McClatchy DC

In truth he was a Salafist and his stated goal was to bring Islamic government to Syria, a ridiculous and despicable idea given that a large proportion of the Syrian people are not Muslims and his particular brand of Islam rejects the status of many Muslims also.

Syria Comment » Archives Zahran Alloush: His Ideology and Beliefs

“Zahran’s  calls for cleansing Damascus of all Shiites and Nusayris. (“Nusayris” is the old term that referred to the Alawites prior to the adoption of “Alawite.” It is considered a term of abuse by Alawites. “Nusayri” refers to the founder of the religion, Ibn Nusayr.

Alloush calls for ridding Damascus and Greater Syria of the evil works and impure deeds of the Nusayris, using Qur’anic language throughout to underline their deviant ways. Such language makes Assad’s effort to demonize the revolutionaries and rebels easy. On hearing this sort of talk from the leaders of the revolution, Alawites and other non-Sunni sects worry that their struggle is a fight for their very existence.”

Alloush’s remarks regarding the Shia and Alawi population of Syiria were reprehensible and counterproductive, but this is the worldview Saudi Arabia backs.

This is what the term “takfiri” means, those that are so arrogant as to proclaim that only those who belong to their specific school of thought are Muslims.

The Insurgency in Greater Damascus.

Zahran Alloush was by far the most prominent insurgent in the Greater Damascus area. This area fell into the hands of the insurgents by late 2012, the Marj al Sultan airbase fell in November 2012 and remained under insurgent control until December 2015.

The Syria Army failed to dislodge the insurgents from these places despite the use of massive and often indiscriminate air strikes that along with the ground fighting have left the place a desolated ghost town of complete destruction.

By mid 2013, heavily armed insurgent groups were well entrenched in Eastern Ghouta, Jobar and Douma, small towns in the area east of Damascus.

In August 2013 the Syrian Army was bombarding Eastern Ghouta with heavy artillery when persons unknown conducted the false flag chemical attack, the last mad grab for US led regime change in Syria. The attack does not seem to be connected to Zahran Alloush, with the al Nusra front being the prime suspect behind the mass murder. The claim that the Assad government was responsible is beneath contempt at this point.

Apocalyptic Scenes: Drone footage shows destruction in Jobar, Damascus, Syria

The Syrian Air Force whether by accident or design, conducted numerous air strikes against public areas in these districts leading to massive civilian casualties and undoubtedly strengthening the position of the insurgents with the people.

In January 2015 a series of Syrian Air Force strikes on Eastern Ghouta markets left as many as 160 people dead. In response Zahran Alloush ordered his fighters to shell the Shia and Christian concentrated areas of Damascus, they managed to fire a barrage of between 80 and 120 rockets that left at least ten civilians dead.  Alloush tried to claim that his forces had attacked Government and military facilities,  they may have hoped to do so but in fact they lacked the weaponry to direct their shells with any accuracy and it was a criminal terror attack that only made Alloush look weak and foolish.

EXTREMELY GRAPHIC – SYRIAN AIR STRIKE – DOUMA – AUG 2015

The Russian Air Force, like all air forces also kill civilians but the strike against Zahran Alloush and his colleagues is indicative of a massive improvement in the quality of the air operations against the insurgents.

The operations are no longer semi-random bombardments but are targeted against military centers based upon intelligence and intense aerial surveillance.

The Grand Parade.

The standout moment of Zahran Alloush’s public life and the only time he received intense Western attention was after the remarkably audacious Jaish al Islam military parade in Eastern Ghouta of April 2015.

When I first saw this I could not believe it, It hought it must be filmed in Turkey or some other neighbour of Syria but the Jaish al Islam had the audacity to hold this massive parade, involving 1700 troops, in the middle of the day, close to Damascus out in the open and it was a PR triumph. They were out in the open for at least 40 minutes.

ZahranAlloush gave a nine minute speech,  it was a very standard speech of a Sunni extremist fighter.

The video is here if any care to watch but it is very stock stuff.

Abduction and Murder Allegations.

In late 2013 a Syrian human rights activist named Razan Zaitouneh disappeared from an area under the control of Alloush’s men, she and her three colleagues have never been heard from again.

This lack of chivalry raised its head again this year when Zahran Allloush under the increasing pressure of a campaign from a real air force- that of Russia, thought it would be a good idea to parade a group of kidnapped civilians through Eastern Ghouta in cages.

Conclusion.

The people of Syria have been the victims of this war and nothing other than suffering and destruction has been achieved.

After three months of intense Russian support, the changes to the Syrian map are very minor. The only area where the Syrian government have made major gains that can be seen on the map is in Aleppo.

The maps only tell part of the story and the manner as much as the fact of Zahran Alloush’s death makes it clear that the trajectory of the war has completely changed now that the SAA and Hezbollah are backed by a high quality air force.

The arrogant powers  (the USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, France and Britain) will presumably intervene further should Syria and Russia make too much progress.

The ideal solution to the crisis would be a political settlement but unless and until the arrogant powers amend their world view, stop believing that they have the right to control every inch of the earth and destroy all who resist, the suffering is going to continue.

If the West and their allies maintain their position of arrogance and Russia and Iran maintain their position of opposition to the regime change project in Syria a regional or even a world war is a more likely outcome than a diplomatic solution.

World War in Syria.

Recent developments have seen the Syrian war enter a new phase, during which the war has morphed from a proxy war into an open international conflict with the massive increase in Russian and Iranian involvement and the reported deployment of thousands of Iranian military forces to the new Russian backed Syrian Army ground offensive.

A deluge of new videos from the forces aligned with the Syrian Government is a reliable indicator that the three large interconnected military operations in Latakia (far west) , Homs/Hama/Idlib (central west)  and Aleppo (north-west) are beginning to achieve their goals.

Another  sign  was the  whining BBC News report about the losses in Aleppo countryside which seems to be the focus of the largest of the operations.

The north-western offensive is being conducted by a claimed 60,000 troops from Syria, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon,  Afghanistan and Russia. They are throwing everything at this situation in a massive show of will and force.

If the three thousand Iranian Revolutionary Guards are not enough, they will send thousands more, if the 1500 Hezbollah fighters are not enough they will send more. At this point the entire Revolutionary Guard could be wiped out and they would raise and send another. It is a matter of pride and principle  at this time.

This has now become a power struggle with ramifications and meanings that go far beyond the future of Syria.

South Front video still shows the majorarea of the offensive in Latakia, Homs/Hama and Aleppo.

Why is this happening?

It is worth asking why these events are taking place. Why are people killing each other in Syria?

The Causes and reasons for the Syrian war.

A power struggle between different international factions.

What is happening in Syria is a multi-layered power struggle between different factions within the Middle East and the world.

The first faction, the faction who initiated the armed conflict in Syria in order to pursue their geopolitical goals are represented by Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Israel and the United States.

Faction 2 is the traditional Axis of Resistance, Syria, Hezbollah and Iran, plus Iraq and Russia.

The prime motivation for Faction 1 to start a war in Syria was an attempt to counter growing Iranian influence in the region.

The toppling of the Iraqi government by the US and allies in the criminal war that started in 2003 saw the moderate Sunni autocrat replaced with a leadership in Iraq that is Shia and both allied with and heavily supported by Iran.

Hezbollah and their allies also became the strongest party in Lebanon meaning that Iran had a land bridge of allies between the Afghanistan border and the Mediterranean sea to the West.

The removal of Iranian influence and the destruction of the Government of Iran was a long-term but extremely difficult goal, (one that was ultimately unattainable it seems), so they turned to Syria as the weakest link in the group of Iranian allies in the region.

When protests began in Syria,  they were announced  and organised  outside Syria,

Dissidents Call for ‘Day of Rage’ in Syria

“Syrian security officers were deployed outside parliament Friday to guard against possible anti-government demonstrations, but by early afternoon, no protesters had gathered.

Campaigns on Facebook had called for a day of “anger” in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Friday and Saturday.

One page, titled “The Syrian Revolution 2011,” has drawn nearly 15,000 virtual fans. The group, which according to news reports was set up by Syrians living abroad.”

At the same time snipers were inserted into Syria in order to target and provoke both sides and foment armed conflict, a classic and well-worn CIA tactic later used successfully in Ukraine.

Later thousands of armed men were inserted into Syria along with a massive amount of weaponry.

This is why there is a war in Syria. When the protests in Bahrain were suppressed and the Saudi military entered Bahrain to assist in their suppression, the West supported these efforts as there is an US Naval base in Bahrain and it is an ally.

In Syria insurgents and arms were funneled in to the country and this is the cause for the catastrophe in Syria.

The Syrian Government has many shortcomings and faults. Discontent in Syria was real, but without the outside assistance it is likely the Syrian protesters would have suffered the same fate of the Bahrain’s and been quietly suppressed and then forgotten.

Monumental Hubris and Callous Indifference.

When the conflict was still at a low-level with only 7,000 deaths, a representative of the Second faction, Russia sought to reach a political deal with the West to end the war.

This entreaty, in February 2012 was simply ignored by the West, who believed that success would be achieved on the battlefield so there was no need to make a compromise to end the war.

Instead the supplies of arms and fighters increased massively.

The war party began to maneuver the US towards attacking Syria.

In August 2012 the US President declared an utterly nonsensical “red line” that the US would attack Syria if they used chemical weapons .

Obama issues Syria a ‘red line’ warning on chemical weapons – The Washington Post

The declaration was nonsensical because the Syrian Government made it clear many times that they would never use their chemical stockpile other than in response to an open invasion.

The jihadist proxies of Faction 1 began to conduct false flag massacres and chemical attacks.

In Khan al Assal they killed dozens in March 19th 2013 in a Sarin gas attack attempting to initiate the new war of conquest on the 10th anniversary of the beginning of the Iraq war..

The Western media tried to blame the Syrian Government. The Syrian Government invited the UN to investigate.

The UN investigation eventually concluded that the insurgents conducted the Khan al Assal Sarin massacre and a number of other chemical attacks..

“The United Nations Mission collected credible information that corroborates the allegations that chemical weapons were used in Khan Al Asal on 19 March 2013 against soldiers and civilians,” according to the final report “

UN says Syrian “rebels” used chemical weapons

The Western media simply ignored the report entirely.

When the UN investigators were about to arrive in Syria, the al Nusra front reentered Khan al Assal and murdered hundreds of the local civilians. In an attempt to destroy the witnesses to their sarin attack.

Within days of the UN arrival in Damascus, another, much larger false flag operation was conducted in the East Ghouta neighborhood of Damascus. Hundreds died, the US claimed thousands and came close to attacking Syria, within days before a representative of Faction 2, Russia came up with a face-saving solution where the innocent Syrian Government would rid themselves of chemical weapons implying responsibility.

In exchange the US did not attack Syria.

Following the failure of that plot. The insurgents lost heart and turned on one another, the next eighteen months saw a stalemate develop.

The US entered the Syrian war in September 2014, one year after intended and on the opposite side as intended..

The synthetic terror group ISIL/Daesh were the new pretext. The US largely left the local al Qaeda franchise alone , refused to cooperate with the Syrian state and achieved nothing.

Eventually the insurgents and their supporters regrouped, the dream of the US attacking the Syrian state remained under the guise of a no fly zone to be imposed on Northern Syria.

In fact the cretinous hell bound drones of the Western media were still attempting to push the chemical weapons lies right up until May 2015 when a creature named Peter Baker published this amusing little piece of trash in the New York Times

Renewed Insurgency.

Support for the insurgents ebbed and flowed throughout the war depending on external circumstances. The interim Nuclear deal with Iran in April 2015 may have lent increased urgency to the effort. The complete victory of the insurgents in the crucial Idlib province saw the Syrian government heartland areas come under direct pressure. The SAA largely held their own in the South, Hezbollah were achieving grinding victory in the South West but the insurgents had greater momentum and the Syrian government seemed to lack the forces required to fight a complex multi front war.

The fall of Palmyra in central Syria saw the ISIL group extend their presence and control to the very centre of Syria, where they proceeded to vandalise and desecrate the Syrian and human cultural heritage like the Neo-Bolshevik ,mercenaries of Zion that they are.

Meanwhile, Russia, along with France and Germany, had managed to engineer a deal to end the Donbass war. The Ukraine side never honored the deal continuing to shell the Eastern areas but the Novorussian side remained firm in their ceasefire. The war was over and that was that.

At some point after the Minsk 2 agreement was reached, Russia decided to intervene in Syria to protect the naval base and other interests. Iran also agreed to send thousands of men and equipment to Syria.

The plot against Syria faced defeat.

The Russian Air Force embarked on a wide-ranging and devastating campaign against any and all insurgent groups in Syria.

Faction 1 increased their weapons supplies to the insurgents and complained loudly but they forgot that it is quite simply none of their business who comprises the Syrian Government.

The days of hegemony are over and now these people, like Ashton Carter and UK Defense Minister Phillip Hammond are revealed as unclothed emperors living in a state of acute delusion.

The reason for supporting Faction 2,  and  the escalation of the war with all of the suffering it will doubtless entail is that the war being fought by Russia, Syria, Iran and Hezbollah in Syria is the war to end the Empire’s wars of conquest forever.
