The USAF have destroyed the only working hospital n Kunduz.

At least nine medical workers have been killed.

Strike comes as fighting continues following the Taliban seizure of Kunduz this week.

In a move that showed tremendous comic timing and a well honed sense of the absurd, the US Air Force apparently decided to highlight just how hypocritical and ridiculous the Western whining about Russian airstrikes in Syria is by showing the world what real air atrocities look like by bombing the Medicins Sans Frontiers (MSF) hospital in Kunduz and killing ten patients and thirteen staff members and leaving the hospital a blackened bombed out wreck.

In addition to the 23 dead more than thirty people are wounded  after the US Air Force conducted a prolonged air assault against the hospital in Kunduz in the early hours of Saturday.

“At 2:10 am, the MSF trauma centre in Kunduz was hit several times during sustained bombing and was very badly damaged,”
“It is with deep sadness that we confirm so far the death of nine MSF staff during the bombing, 37 people were seriously wounded. There are many patients and staff who remain unaccounted for.”

Afghanistan, another Western Foreign Policy Triumph.

This week the Taliban seized control of the city of Kunduz in Northern Afghanistan.
The move marked the groups greatest recent success in the grinding guerilla war they have been fighting since being bombed from power by the US in late 2001.

Kunduz is the largest population centre the Taliban have controlled in this phase of the war and it also a long way to the north of the Taliban’s operational base in the Pashtun heartland of South Eastern Afghanistan.

The Taliban fighters managed to score an initial victory over the Afghan Government forces in Kunduz but within days reinforcements were sent in and the Taliban areas of control in Kunduz were greatly reduced as fighting continued.
Yesterday the US Air force launched a prolonged attack on the only working hospital in Kunduz, the fifth largest city in Afghanistan.

The US attack has destroyed the hospital, it is a burned out wreck. .
According to Medicin Sans Frontiers after an initial US bombing attack on the hospital, staff contacted NATO and the US telling them that they were attacking a hospital.
The attacks continued for at least half an hour after that.

“It said the bombing continued for more than 30 minutes after American and Afghan military officials in Kabul and Washington were first informed.
“All parties to the conflict, including in Kabul and Washington, were clearly informed of the precise location (GPS coordinates) of the MSF facilities,” the statement added.”

According to the Afghan Government Taliban fighters were sheltering in the hospital prior to the attack.

“The Afghan defence ministry expressed sadness over the incident but in a statement claimed that “a group of terrorists armed with light and heavy weapons were using the hospital building as a position to target Afghan forces and civilians.”

Classic Pentagon double speak there. At least they learned something.

Even if this turns out to be true and there is no evidence that supports the claim at this time there was neither the need nor the right to destroy the only hospital in the city to kill the fighters there.

Afghanistan was destroyed decades ago by Western proxy jihadists.

Afghanistan was a functioning moderate state until the CIA and pals decided it would be clever to ensnare the Soviet military in Afghanistan and bleed them there.

Afghanistan was destabilised by US intelligence in order to provoke the Soviet Union intervention and occupation.

The key agents of the destabilisation were militant Islamists. The project began way back in the 1970s.
Afghanistan was destroyed in the process and the Government that was formed by the CIA/ ISI (Inter Services Intelligence- Pakistani spy agency) backed mujaheddin warlords in the early 1990s put the finishing touches on Afghanistan’s demise.
That is why the war and occupation of Afghanistan seem less destructive than the Libya and Iraq operations, they had already destroyed Afghanistan with their proxy jihadists decades before the occupation began.

The US and it’s allies are still present in Afghanistan in small numbers. More than a decade of occupation of Afghanistan at the cost of the lives of tens of thousands of people have quite simply come to nothing.
