.Both sides are reporting a major, albeit fragile victory for the Syrian Government forces and allies in the Aleppo countryside, the site of the largest Syrian offensive conducted since the Russian intervention began.
The Kweires Air base had been surrounded and besieged since 2013, Around 3oo troops remained in what was an island in an ISIL controlled area. Syrian Government forces have now broken the siege destroying the insurgents positions surrounding the facility in what appears to be a major achievement.
Iranian media are reporting that the commander of the Revolutionary Guards Quds force Qasem Soleimani .is leading the assault on the ISIl forces in Eastern Aleppo. this is a clear sign that they believe the operation will succeed as the image and prestige of the commander are clearly important to them.
“Army and the armed forces eliminated large numbers of ISIS terrorists and make contact with the forces defending Kweires Airport in Aleppo’s eastern countryside,” the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said on Tuesday.”

In addition to that operation SAA and allied forces have also been achieving gains in South Aleppo.
Until yesterday al Hader was a major jihadist hub in South Aleppo under the control of the al Nusra front.
Operators of doomed flight are claiming the aircraft was attacked.
The Deputy Chief of Kogalymavia Airways Alexandr Smirnov has stated definitively that the operator of Flight 7K9268 believe the flight was downed by some sort of attack by ruling out mechanical fault and pilot error as the cause of the October 31st disaster that left 224 people dead in the Sinai desert.
“The plane was in excellent condition,” Smirnov told a news conference in Moscow. “We rule out a technical fault and any mistake by the crew,” he said.’He said there had been no emergency call from the pilots to services on the ground during the flight, which took off from the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh and was bound for the Russian city of St Petersburg.’
“The only possible explanation is a mechanical force acting on the aircraft,” Smirnov said. “There is no combination of system failures that could have broken the plane apart in the air.”
US Detected “Heat Flash” at time the flight was destroyed.
This was the magically missing piece of evidence regarding the MH17 disaster, this was as Robert Parry put it “the dog that did not bark.” If the Eastern Ukraine fighters or anyone from the “other side” had destroyed MH17 there would have been no need for the US government to suppress all their satellite imagery of the incident including, most obviously the launch of whatever rocket or missile destroyed MH17. That alone makes it clear that something is being hidden in that case.
While the connection here is entirely speculative, it is interesting to note that the Israeli Air Force completed a large annual drill known as “Blue Flag” on October 29th. It is also interesting to note that Poland and the US were among the participants. The exercise comprised Air combat drills.
A month to the day after Russia entered the Syrian war in a big way, a Russian Aircraft carrying almost entirely Russian tourists is destroyed in the skies adjoining Israel. What an unhappy ”coincidence”.
It has become clear that someone has targeted the MetroJet Flight 7K9268 that was destroyed in Egypt yesterday leaving all 217 passengers and 7 crew aboard dead.
This statement can be made at this early stage in the investigation because it has become clear that the jet downed in Egypt has split into at least two pieces and there is really no way that the flight breaking up i the air is consistent with an accident.
Not all of the bodies have been recovered yet. The people on the ground are still searching for the dead. In a conventional mechanical failure accident the fuselage lands on the ground in one piece and although there has been at least one air disaster ascribed to a plane disintegrating in mid air, the China Airlines 611 incident of 2002 that left 225 dead, even a freak occurrence such as this would not account for the lack of a distress call from the pilot of the doomed Metro-Jet flight..
The lack of a distress call has been a repeated across several of the recent inexplicable air disasters. The Air Asia 8501 disaster late last year is one that comes to mind immediately. There was never any explanation as to why the pilots never transmitted a distress signal as the plane apparently stalled and fell to the ocean.
“EL-HASANA, Egypt: Egyptian rescue teams were looking Sunday for more victims of a Russian passenger plane crash in Sinai, widening the search after finding bodies scattered across eight square kilometers a day after the incident.
A military officer helping with the search told AFP that rescuers had found 163 bodies out of a total of 224 people who were on board the Airbus 321, which crashed after taking off from a Red Sea beach resort.”
That single story, printed in a pro-Western news organ, the Daily Star makes it clear that someone has done this. Mechanical failure will cause the plane to be unable to fly, it will not cause the distribution of the wreckage over a large area as we are seeing in Sinai.
Intent Signals Motive.
Once it is accepted that this was not an accident but an intended attack, then the obvious motive becomes clear.
Either someone is upset over the month-long Russian operation in Syria and they are expressing their displeasure, or someone is trying to frame someone for that..
The message would appear to be that there will now be attacks on Russian interests right across the world and there is nothing Russia can do about it except continue what they are doing in Syria and try to even up at a later date if they can identify the perpetrators.
It is quite unlikely that any ground anti-aircraft system was responsible for the destruction of MetroJet 7K9268, the height of the jet and the topography of the Sinai would make it seemingly impossible to hide a system of the required size in that area.
The prime methods would be appear to be either a remote hijacking, a bomb or an attack from a jet.
At this early stage the remote hijacking seems to be a non-starter as it fails to explain the mid-air destruction of the fuselage. The most likely explanation seems to be either a bomb on board, an air to air attack or something exotic.
Apocalypse in the Conventional Sense.
It is equally becoming clear that whether by accident or design, events are poised to spin out of all control in the near to mid-term future. It seems that an immense deadly war that dwarfs the current small-scale catastrophes is poised to break out.
The forces of darkness and evil cannot and will never accept that they have been usurped and are no longer the masters of the universe.
Russia has too much pride to back down in the face of their threats. The tactics that work against other merely inflame the Russians and add to their determination and animus towards the authors of evil.
Their mindset is calculating and methodical but there is an element of the Howard Beale character from Network, they have had enough and they are not going to take it anymore and this has been their position since the Ukraine coup of late February 2014.
Since February 2014 Russian officials have stated repeatedly that they are willing to fight a major nuclear war with the West if necessary.
The people who made those statements probably naively assumed it would never come to that.
The wreckage from this flight seems more like the wreckage from a bomb attack or rocket than the Lockerbie crash or the MH17 crash. The distribution of wreckage seems wider and the destruction of the plane seems greater than either of these known rocket and bomb cases.

Recent developments have seen the Syrian war enter a new phase, during which the war has morphed from a proxy war into an open international conflict with the massive increase in Russian and Iranian involvement and the reported deployment of thousands of Iranian military forces to the new Russian backed Syrian Army ground offensive.
A deluge of new videos from the forces aligned with the Syrian Government is a reliable indicator that the three large interconnected military operations in Latakia (far west) , Homs/Hama/Idlib (central) and Aleppo (north-west) are beginning to achieve their goals.
The north-western offensive is being conducted by a claimed 60,000 troops from Syria, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Russia. They are throwing everything at this situation in a massive show of will and force.
If the three thousand Iranian Revolutionary Guards are not enough, they will send thousands more, if the 1500 Hezbollah fighters are not enough they will send more. At this point the entire Revolutionary Guard could be wiped out and they would raise and send another. It is a matter of pride and principle.
This has now become a power struggle with implications far beyond the future of Syria.
Why is this happening?
It is worth asking why these events are taking place. Why are people killing each other in Syria?
The Causes and reasons for the Syrian war.
A power struggle between different international factions.
What is happening in Syria is a multi-layered power struggle between different factions within the Middle East and the world.
The first faction, the faction who initiated the armed conflict in Syria in order to pursue their geopolitical goals are represented by Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Israel and the United States.
Faction 2 is the traditional Axis of Resistance, Syria, Hezbollah and Iran, plus Iraq and Russia.
The prime motivation for Faction 1 to start a war in Syria was an attempt to counter growing Iranian influence in the region.
The toppling of the Iraqi government by the US and allies in the criminal war that started in 2003 saw the moderate Sunni autocrat replaced with a leadership in Iraq that is Shia and both allied with and heavily supported by Iran.
Hezbollah and their allies also became the strongest party in Lebanon meaning that Iran had a land bridge of allies between the Afghanistan border and the Mediterranean sea to the West.
The removal of Iranian influence and the destruction of the Government of Iran was a long-term but extremely difficult goal, (one that was ultimately unattainable it seems), so they turned to Syria as the weakest link in the group of Iranian allies in the region.
When protests began in Syria, they were announced and organised outside Syria,
“Syrian security officers were deployed outside parliament Friday to guard against possible anti-government demonstrations, but by early afternoon, no protesters had gathered.
Campaigns on Facebook had called for a day of “anger” in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Friday and Saturday.
One page, titled “The Syrian Revolution 2011,” has drawn nearly 15,000 virtual fans. The group, which according to news reports was set up by Syrians living abroad.”
At the same time snipers were inserted into Syria in order to target and provoke both sides and foment armed conflict, a classic and well-worn CIA tactic later used successfully in Ukraine.
Footage of Snipers in Syria
Tarpley: Snipers are Randomly Shooting at Syrian Civilians to Create Instability
Later thousands of armed men were inserted into Syria along with a massive amount of weaponry.
This is why there is a war in Syria. When the protests in Bahrain were suppressed and the Saudi military entered Bahrain to assist in their suppression, the West supported these efforts as there is an US Naval base in Bahrain and it is an ally.
In Syria insurgents and arms were funneled in to the country and this is the cause for the catastrophe in Syria.
The Syrian Government has many shortcomings and faults. Discontent in Syria was real, but without the outside assistance it is likely the Syrian protesters would have suffered the same fate of the Bahrain’s and been quietly suppressed and then forgotten.
Monumental Hubris and Callous Indifference.
When the conflict was still at a low-level with only 7,000 deaths, a representative of the Second faction, Russia sought to reach a political deal with the West to end the war.
This entreaty, in February 2012 was simply ignored by the West, who believed that success would be achieved on the battlefield so there was no need to make a compromise to end the war.
The declaration was nonsensical because the Syrian Government made it clear many times that they would never use their chemical stockpile other than in response to an open invasion.
The jihadist proxies of Faction 1 began to conduct false flag massacres and chemical attacks.
In Khan al Assal they killed dozens in March 19th 2013 in a Sarin gas attack attempting to initiate the new war of conquest on the 10th anniversary of the beginning of the Iraq war..
The Western media tried to blame the Syrian Government. The Syrian Government invited the UN to investigate.
The UN investigation eventually concluded that the insurgents conducted the Khan al Assal Sarin massacre and a number of other chemical attacks..
“The United Nations Mission collected credible information that corroborates the allegations that chemical weapons were used in Khan Al Asal on 19 March 2013 against soldiers and civilians,” according to the final report “
The Western media simply ignored the report entirely.
When the UN investigators were about to arrive in Syria, the al Nusra front reentered Khan al Assal and murdered hundreds of the local civilians. In an attempt to destroy the witnesses to their sarin attack.
Within days of the UN arrival in Damascus, another, much larger false flag operation was conducted in the East Ghouta neighborhood of Damascus. Hundreds died, the US claimed thousands and came close to attacking Syria, within days before a representative of Faction 2, Russia came up with a face-saving solution where the innocent Syrian Government would rid themselves of chemical weapons implying responsibility.
In exchange the US did not attack Syria.
Following the failure of that plot. The insurgents lost heart and turned on one another, the next eighteen months saw a stalemate develop.
The synthetic terror group ISIL/Daesh were the new pretext. The US largely left the local al Qaeda franchise alone , refused to cooperate with the Syrian state and achieved nothing.
Eventually the insurgents and their supporters regrouped, the dream of the US attacking the Syrian state remained under the guise of a no fly zone to be imposed on Northern Syria.
In fact the cretinous hell bound drones of the Western media were still attempting to push the chemical weapons lies right up until May 2015 when a creature named Peter Baker published this amusing little piece of trash in the New York Times
Demonstrating the determination of the War party along with their complete moral and intellectual bankruptcy
Support for the insurgents ebbed and flowed throughout the war depending on external circumstances. The interim Nuclear deal with Iran in April 2015 may have lent increased urgency to the effort. The complete victory of the insurgents in the crucial Idlib province saw the Syrian government heartland areas come under direct pressure. The SAA largely held their own in the South, Hezbollah were achieving grinding victory in the South West but the insurgents had greater momentum and the Syrian government seemed to lack the forces required to fight a complex multi front war.
The fall of Palmyra in central Syria saw the ISIL group extend their presence and control to the very centre of Syria, where they proceeded to vandalise and desecrate the Syrian and human cultural heritage like the Neo-Bolshevik ,mercenaries of Zion that they are.
Meanwhile, Russia, along with France and Germany, had managed to engineer a deal to end the Donbass war. The Ukraine side never honored the deal continuing to shell the Eastern areas but the Novorussian side remained firm in their ceasefire. The war was over and that was that.
At some point after the Minsk 2 agreement was reached, Russia decided to intervene in Syria to protect the naval base and other interests. Iran also agreed to send thousands of men and equipment to Syria.
The plot against Syria faced defeat.
The Russian Air Force embarked on a wide-ranging and devastating campaign against any and all insurgent groups in Syria.
Faction 1 increased their weapons supplies to the insurgents and complained loudly but they forgot that it is quite simply none of their business who comprises the Syrian Government.
The days of hegemony are over and now these people, like Ashton Carter and UK Defense Minister Phillip Hammond are revealed as unclothed emperors living in a state of acute delusion.
The reason for supporting Faction 2, and the escalation of the war with all of the suffering it will doubtless entail is that the war being fought by Russia, Syria, Iran and Hezbollah in Syria is the war to end the Empire’s wars of conquest forever.

Assad in Moscow.
BREAKING: Assad in Moscow for flash talks with Putin
The Syrian President has ventured outside Syria for the first time since the insurgency began making a visit to Moscow. At face value this was simply a photo-op.
The body language of some of the participants indicated that Russia knows that Bashar al Assad is an incompetent leader and they are preparing to walk away from his leadership provided that the Syrian state is protected and preserved by his departure rather than it being the first step in its total collapse.
Because Bashar al Assad was handed the leadership dye to the deaths of first his brother, the anointed heir, and then his father, he never learned the skills required to survie as an autocratic leader.
Assad appears to be completely out of touch from his people, a fact illustrated when in the wake of the February 2011 Egyptian revolution Bashar al Assad remarked that it would “never happen in Syria.” as the Government was too popular.
This remark showed also that Assad had no sense whatsoever of the plot unfolding against his nation.
The incompetence of the leadership persists to the present day.
Small contingents of soldiers are sent to “hold out” in isolated bases where they are surrounded and frequently completely over run.
The impact on morale of having a large base over run and the entire personnel executed is obvious.
There seems to be a paralysis born of fear of relaying bad news upwards.
The loss of a military base in a province long under insurgent control would not matter that much if the men and equipment were evacuated but frequently the jihadist will over run a base and there are military aircraft worth millions of dollars left behind along with hundreds and even thousands of soldiers.
A commander of any quality would either be realistic and evacuate, taking all the hardware with them or destroying it or provide the resources required to defend it properly.
The Russian are simply waiting for the right time to make a deal with the West that will preserve the integrity of the Syrian state at the expense of the Assad leadership in my opinion.
The propaganda that the Western media regurgitate daily about Assad is completely disngenuous and nayseating. Every time I hear the term “regime” I feel sick to my stomach.
It is neat the way they lobby to “save” people urgently at all costs and then forget them completely once their nation has been bombed into a failed state.
It is also really amusing the way they try to pontificate about the alleged war crimes of the adversaries or perceived adversaries of their bankster masters such as Assad but will never mention that every US President since Jimmy carter has been responsible for wide scale crimes against humanity.
The prima facie case against Barack Obama for crimes against humanity is every bit as strong as the case against Assad and the criminals of the Bush administration were murderers on an entirely larger scale than Obama and Assad combined.
The footage that is emerging from Syria is heavily filtered and politically mediated. None of the setbacks of the Syrian Army and their allies are depicted in the footage they provide. When things go wrong for them they simply cease reporting on that situation and move onto something else.
The insurgents also heavily filter the footage they release but the lack of a central structure and the hope to gain sympathy from the audience see them release footage that gives some idea of the troubles they are facing.
The combat videos become very monotonous and repetitive very quickly but these stand somewhat above the fray.
The whole posting videos footage of the war thing is becoming a little tired, this is a stop gap while a more thorough and researched analysis of this multi-layered and complex story is completed.

The Russian Narrative of the Post Cold War era in lass than six minutes..
The video below contains an answer from Vladimir Putin to a question from veteran BBC “journalist” John Simpson.. In less than six minutes the President of the Russian Federation explains their point of view on the post cold war era in a most devastating manner.
It is a calm and skillful demolition of the Western narrative regarding Russia in all it’s infantile and morally bankrupt depravity. Even those who disagree have the opportunity at least to hear the Russian viewpoint expressed in a succinct yet powerful way.
The core of it is that when the USSR was dismantled the West continued with the tactics of the Cold war and continued to treat Russia as an adversary despite the end of the defining ideological difference.
From their point of view the acquiescence of Russia to the Wests demands in terms of economic policy were met with encirclement, missile shields aimed at achieving Nuclear first strike capability and colour revolutions on their borders to replace their allies with the stooges of the West.
The Russian narrative has two central virtues, it is simple and it is largely true although some less “helpful” facts tend to be edited from the narrative as you would expect.
Putin Crushes BBC Smartass
The Stand over Classic.
This video presents almost a caricature of the Russian President as the stand-over man from central casting as he brutally intimidates and publicly humiliates recalcitrant Russian industrialists before the view of the public.
Worth watching if only to see the look on the face of the oligarch billionaire Oleg Deripaska when Putin asks for his pen back having just exposed the oligarch as a liar and forced him to sign a contract against his will. It is a very funny very short video.
The Intellectual Version – the Munich Speech of 2007.
This is at the other end of the spectrum. This is the intellectual version of the Russian narrative as expressed by the President from Munich in 2007.
In this speech the Russian President explained what Russia was going to do and why they were going to do it.
They will try and co-operate but any transgressions close to the border will be met with overwhelming force as happened the following year in Georgia.
Putin is basically announcing that “you won’t have Russia to kick around any more.”
In front of an audience that included Angela Merkel, John McCain, US Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Senator Joseph Lieberman,Tzipi Livni and Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer, it is amusing to watch their faces as they are informed very politely that they are deluded fools whose days of arson are coming to an end.
Putin patiently explains that the period of total US domination of international politics had been a catastrophe and his intent to end it and replace it with a system of co-operation in the context of non-interference in other states internal affairs.
The idea of simply leaving people alone is a foreign and unfamiliar concept to the Westerner after a lifetime of pro war/ we are always right/ we know everything brainwashing but it actually makes a lot of sense and represents the only hope for peace aside form the totalitarian one world government the sick creatures of the Western elite are still trying to build.
The Syrian Arab Army appear to have made some territorial gains with the assistance of intense and massive Russian air support.
The Russian air support, especially from the helicopters, has been heroic, but the overall training and competence of the Syrian Army must be questioned at this point, while it is obviously too early to judge the results of this operation.
The United States, so utterly exposed and humiliated as the deluded terror supporting hypocrite of all time, is crowing over the death but it is not the deaths of specific individuals that determines the outcome of a war.
Hossein Hamadani is not the first senior Iranian military figure to die in the war and presumably will not be the last.
I am still struggling to get over the fact that the United States actually has the temerity to suggest that they have the right to send armed militants into a nation to overthrow the Government and if someone kills them in an attempt to assist the legal Government of the nation they are doing some wrong.
The sooner the United States comes to terms with the fact that it is simply another nation state with no entitlement whatsoever to decide the affairs of others, the better for everyone, them included.
There are no credible reports of Russian casualties at this time although that did not stop the increasingly laughable Syrian Observatory for Human Rights from claiming that three Russian helicopters have been downed and destroyed.
If any helicopters come down we can rest assured that there will be pictures. We will see little else for days.
Consortium News provides an excellent insight into the mood and thinking in Washington DC, they describe “official Washington” as being “blind with rage” at the Russian intervention into the Syrian war.
These are some of the videos that have emerged over the past day or so from the battlefields of Syria.
It is actually very sad to watch the rebel footage. When things are going ok, when there is hope and defiance they will all shout “Allahu Akbar” and it can become a little tiresome and repetitive, but I have now noticed that when something really bad happens, when they know that their allies or their buddies are being killed, they stop saying “Allahu akbar” and start saying, well, I guess they are saying ‘”Allah” but it is long and mournful and sounds more like “Yallah.”
This is one small way I have figured out to judge the effectiveness of the military operations. While the jihadists are shouting “Allahu akbar.” things are alright for them or there is at least hope but once they start saying “Allah” instead, This is a sign that they are taking casualties and losing morale.
